Q.How does 123-yum work?
When a customer places an order through our 123-yum website (online takeaway ordering website) , website automatically sends the order to the appropriate restaurant via fax, email or SMS within few minutes.
Q.Why should I use 123-yum instead of phone orders?
123-yum is the online takeaway ordering website that allows restaurant owners to publsih their menus on the internet. Online ordering provides several advantages over telephone based ordering. Your customers will not receive a busy signal, they will not be put on hold, and their order will be relayed to the restaurant in an accurate fashion. Customers find ordering over the Internet less frustrating than relaying a long and extended order over the phone.
Q.How long does it take to get 123-yum set up?
Once you have signed up for 123-yum and entered your menu items your restaurant will be set-up automatically, there is no waiting for it to go live. If you would like us to set-up your menu it will be available within 48 hours.
Q.Can 123-yum be integrated into my current website?
Absolutely. Once your 123-yums Menu System is set up, you can add 123-yum links/logos/button (to place an onilne takeaway orders) to your current website and your now ready to accept orders online and receive reservations through your own website in addition to receiving orders through 123-yum!
Q.What if I have more than one restaurant?
No problem, we can set up 123-yums service for each of your restaurant to accpet an order online.
Q. How do I personalize the website created on 123-yum?
On the restaurant owner menu under Maintain website you can use the Edit website option to Edit the content of Header, Home Page, Footer, About Us etc.
You can also use the default photo gallery using the show/hide photo gallery or you can add your own photos by using the edit photo gallery option.
Q. How do I view my sales report?
On the restaurant owner menu you can view the sales report for a particular period using the Report option.
Q. How do I change my 123-yum package?
You can change the package from the restaurant owner menu from the Manage account option. Alternately, you can drop an email to info@123-yum.co.uk to change the package.
Q. How do I upgrade my account?
You can upgrade your account on the restaurant owner menu from the Manage account option.
Q. How do I edit the restaurant timings?
You can edit the restaurant timings on the restaurant owner menu from the Admin settings option.
Q. How can I give discount and promotion on items?
On the restaurant owner menu using the Give Discount offer option you can:
  1. Add/Edit discount on a first order.
  2. Add/Edit discount on repetitive orders.
  3. Add promotional offer discount and give it to a customer.
  4. Set a deal.
Q. How to I add/edit or delete a menu category?
You can add/edit or delete a menu category (Example: Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican etc.) from the menu category option on the restaurant owner menu. You can delete the category from the list category option and the deleted category is moved to the de-active category list.
Q. What are de-active categories?
De-active categories are the categories that you have deleted and are not in use for the customer to select a menu.
Q. How do I add a Menu type?
For any menu category you can add/edit or delete a menu type (Example: Starter, Snacks, Icecreams, Sea-foods etc.) from the menu type option on the restaurant owner menu. You can delete the type from the list menu type option and the deleted type is moved to the de-active type list.
Q. How do I add a product and product type?
You can add/edit or delete a product (Example: Caprese, Spring rolls, Lamb Tikka, Veg Biryani etc.) from the products option on the restaurant owner menu. You can delete the list from the products list option and the deleted list is moved to the deactive product list.
Q. Why is my restaurant in de-active state?
This is because the seller has not yet taken any package. The seller needs to take a package and make the required necessary payment for the restaurant to activate.
Q. What is promotional offer?
It is for the users of 123-yum. The restaurant will be allowed to offer the user discount offer by providing them a promotional code. By using these promotional codes, the user will be able to avail certain discount on the next food order.
Q. What are free items?
At 123-yum the restaurant can give discount as well as the free items to their customers. The customer will be asked to choose from the list of the free items (offered by the restaurant) and discount will be given on the free items.

For adding free items the restaurant admin can select free items from the available products list. The seller (restaurant admin) will have to define the order amount limit and the discount percentage. If the customer orders and the order amount are greater than the order amount limit defined by the seller then only the customers will avail this free item discount offer.

Q. I do not receive any email or notice from your website?
Please check the email ID in your profile details if that is correct and you still do not receive emails please send a feedback and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Q. Who will collect the money for the orders originating through 123-yum?
The money would be collected by the restaurants only.
Q. My restaurant does only collections, not delivery, so this online-food-
   ordering is not for me.
This food ordering concept is applied to both kinds of restaurants i.e. Collection and/or Delivery. So, your restaurant can also become our partner even if your restaurant does only Collection.
Q. My restaurant doesn't have a setup for food delivery. Can 123-YUM
     the food delivery for us?
We are afraid that we don't have any provision for food delivery to consumers, so restaurants have to do these arrangements by themselves.
Q. If I missed the fax for the food order or any other mistake, then who will be responsible for the lost orders?
As partners, restaurants have to take ownership of the problems caused from their end but if the problem is caused by 123-yum, then WE will take the ownership. For example, if 123-YUM sends a fax for an order but nobody attends the fax at the restaurant, then the restaurant has to take ownership of this problem.
Q. I don't have a fax machine, so what 123-YUM can do for us?
123-YUM could help the restaurants in setting up the fax machine at reasonable charges.
Q. I want to put pictures of my restaurants on 123-YUM, can I do it?
Yes, certainly. To do that, you just have to login to your online account on 123-YUM by using your given username and password.
Q. I don't want default websites but like to personalized websites for my restaurant. How much do I have pay for a Personalized Website?

We have various models for Personalized Website. The Default one starts with £20 per month. The Personalized Website costs £30, £40 and £50 per month.

Q. Will you help me to increase my Sale?
Sale depends on various parameters such as what customers think about your restaurant, what is the quality and price of your food, distance, ambience etc. So 123-YUM cannot guarantee an increase in sale but we will try to help restaurants get business via internet.
Q. Is it just a website?
It's much more than a website, where consumers can Order food from your restaurants, Compare your restaurant with your competitors, Rank you on your service and see your services. It is akin to someone visiting your restaurant personally.
Q. If we get fake orders, then who will be responsible for that?
The percentages of getting fake orders are negligible. As we ask for consumers to put their actual phone numbers and addresses when they register with us. Also, we ask them to confirm their food orders before final submission.
Q. How will you attract consumers to come to your website?
We are doing intensive marketing on internet, various radio stations and community centres.
Q. Do you have any link to any of search engine, such as Google?
Yes.
Q. If we get an order of a party from your website, then how will we come to know that?
We have a mechanism on our website, where consumer will get some substantial benefit by mentioning our name when they contact restaurants. Also, restaurants are our partners and we expect them to be fair and trustworthy with us. If, later we find that the order was received via our website and restaurants have not informed us about it. This kind of deed will be considered as cheating and would be detrimental to the total spirit of the relationship.
Q. I have my own website, then why should I register with you?
Well, 123-YUM is platform, which provides consumer the power to see and order food and services from many restaurants at a single point of time. If consumers don't see your restaurant on our website then you are definitely losing business.
Q. We tried but still can't update our menus by ourselves, will 123-YUM help me in doing that?
We have made our website very user friendly, so that Restaurant managers can update the same from their end. But if they cannot do it themselves, then they can refer to our website's FAQ section for help or Contact Us.
Q. What happens when my menu changes?
We provide an online menu editing facility. This is simple to use and allows changes to be made that are seen immediately on your web site. Optionally we can make these changes for you.
Q. What does free £50 top-up means?
When you become a partner with 123-YUM, you will get an account like PAY AS YOU GO mobile phones. As a good gesture, 123-YUM is giving £50 FREE in your account to use. The registration fee, monthly website and regular food orders' percentage charges will be deducted from this £50. When the free £50 is finished, you have to TOP UP your account by another £50 or £100 or £200 as per your convenience.
Q. Can I break the contract after 3 months or 6 months?
In the first place, we provide online presence to restaurants owners at a very cost effective price. (As just 5 pages of simple webspace costs £600 per year from other companies). The orders and business are Secondary. But, restaurants can break the contract depending on the terms and conditions of the contract.

To place your Order Online, simply follow these steps:

2)  Select your Restaurant
3)  Select the menu items you wish to order
4)  Complete your order by filling in the checkout screen
Q. When do you Deliver?
Delivery pickup timings are dependent on the selected restaurant for the order.
Once the restaurant is selected, you can check out the restaurant opening timings.
Q. How is the Order confirmed?
After placing orders online, please check for a confirmation e-mail. The restaurant owner may confirm all first time online orders by phone/SMS.
Q. How long does delivery take?
Orders generally arrive within an hour. Restaurant preparation, rush hour traffic, weather, and order size may affect delivery times. We can not guarantee exact order times. A restaurnat customer service representative will call if there is a delay or problem with the order.
Q. How much should I tip?
Much like a waiter, drivers earn the majority of their earnings through tips. Drivers work very hard to see that your order is correct & is delivered to you in a timely manner. The standard gratuity is 15% to 20%. 100% of your tip goes to your driver.
Q. Why is there a delivery charge?
123-yum regsitered restaurants only charge the very nominal amount if the order value is under certain amount. Typical delivery charges are 1 if the order vau eis less than 10. We aim to offer one of the most affordable, high quality multi-restaurant delivery service in the country.
Q. Can I cancel my order?
Once the order is received and confirmed with the restaurant we usually cannot cancel the order. Your order is automatically sent to the restaurant electronically and preparation typically begins within minutes.
Q. Do you deliver to my area?
For quality of service reasons, delivery areas are limited to ensure your meal is delivered hot and fresh. Goto www.123-yum and select your delivery area to see what restaurants are available to you. Typically restaurants deliver order withing the 5 miles of radius.
Q. How do I pay?
Customers pays by cash directly to the restaurant.  
Q. What is an activation code?
You need to enter the activation code before you confirm your order. You would receive the activation code through SMS sent when you make an order.
Q. How do I view my order made through 123-yum?
A transaction id is provided to the user after placing any food order. In user menu, you can view all your transactions by providing for a particular period.
Q. Did not find what I am looking for?
On user menu, go to suggestions and give Feedback and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Q. What do I do if I do not find the restaurant that I am looking for?
On your user menu go to suggestions and suggest restaurant. In case, the user wishes to recommend any new restaurant to be added to the site, then he /she can send the restaurant information to the admin person for adding to the website.
Q. What is promotional code?
The promotion code is for the discount from seller, which is given to the user. Before the transactions the user will be asked for any promotion code (if user is having any promotion code). If the user is having any promotion code then he/she will enter that code and then proceed for the transaction. If the user is not having any promotion code then he/she will click on "Skip and proceed" to skip and proceed. If the promotion code entered by the user is correct, then the user will avail the defied discount and the final delete value will be updated to 1 as it will be used just once.
Q. How do I add items in shopping basket?
  • Enter the quantity of the listed food items and click on button add.
  • The user can easily edit and update the item quantity in the basket before placing the order.
  • The total amount to be paid by the user is calculated. If everything seems okey to the user then he/she clicks on "Checkout"
Q. How soon would a suggested rest be added to website?
To ensure the complete satisfaction, we always try our best to increase our restaurant database to provide various choices to the user. 123-yum team will verify the restaurant details, and then the restaurant will be listed on the website.
Q. Does it cost more if I order online?
No, You don't pay more than you would do ordering on the phone. You don't need to provide us more information than you would do when you order through telephone!
Q. Why do I need to register?
With registration you can be assured that the meal is delivered to the right place and to the right person. Registration makes further ordering more comfortable. You can order for your colleagues sitting next to you in the office using your username. As a member you have a personal profile with favorite restaurants and order history.
Q. How can I make sure that my order was placed?
The order is placed if we have sent you the confirmation email. If you do not get it after a few minutes and have doubts whether you placed the order or not, you can call up the restaurant to confirm.
Q. Where can I post my complaints?
Your suggestions and feedback is most awaited, you can give those using the feedback option on our 123-yum web site.
Q. What do I do if I forget my password?
Please click on the "forgot my password" button then give us your e-mail address and we will send you your login details. If you can't remember your email neither, please contact our customer service for assistance!
Q. How can I confirm that my order has reached the restaurant?
When you make an order using 123-yum and checkout, you will receive an email confirmation message. We take it from there to make sure the restaurant receives your order.
